Ms. Magyar, is a shareholder in the Firm's Commercial Litigation Department and chair of the Domestic Relations Practice Group. In the domestic relations area, she has assisted her clients with the drafting of pre-marital and surrogacy agreements, domestic partnership agreements, facilitating adoptions, and negotiating separation agreements. In addition, she has represented her clients in contested litigation involving divorce, modifications of alimony, child custody and visitation, as well as child support. Ms. Magyar's experience in commercial litigation has assisted her in divorce proceedings involving valuation and disposition of various business entities. She is also requested frequently by the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, Maryland to serve in the role of Best Interest Attorney, to act as an advocate for children in highly contested divorce proceedings and to serve as a Special Master, to aid the Court in the resolution of complex discovery matters in family law cases.

While earning her law degree at The George Washington University, she received the Corpus Juris Secundum Award for excellence in the area of Torts. She is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. Ms. Magyar served as the Volunteer Committee Chair for the Habitat for Humanity Project being sponsored by the Bar Association of Montgomery County, for which she received the Seventh Annual Award for Outstanding Community Service in May of 2000.  Ms. Magyar also volunteers her time to the Pro Se Project at the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, Maryland, which assists individuals without counsel who are involved in various domestic relations proceedings.

Ms. Magyar is heavily involved in the Family Law Section of the Bar Association of Montgomery County, Maryland and is currently serving as co-chair of the Bench Bar Committee. She is also an active member of the Women's Bar Associations of both the State of Maryland and Montgomery County. Ms. Magyar was selected by past Presidents of the Bar Association of Montgomery County during their respective terms to serve on community service committees, such as the Judicial Selections Committee, the Minority Outreach Committee and the Lawyer to Lawyer Committee, which seeks to help attorneys with various emotional and physical problems. Ms. Magyar served as Secretary of the Bar Association for Montgomery County in May of 2002.  She received recognition as a Bar Leader of the Montgomery County, Maryland Bar Foundation in 2002 for her outstanding service to the profession and to the community, and currently sits on the Board of Directors of that foundation.
