Georgina Feigen's telecommunications clients depend on her depth of knowledge and ability to develop winning strategies for matters ranging from the regulatory and licensing needs of large nationwide wireless clients to the unique needs of smaller, rural area and private wireless clients before the FCC. She successfully assists wireless providers with FCC regulatory matters including licensing, environmental issues, tower siting and ownership. Clients especially appreciate Georgina’s understanding of the technical side of their business. One client recently remarked, “It has been great working with someone on the legal side who can quickly pickup and understand our crazy engineering jargon! Thanks so much for sharing your expertise with us in this area.”
Georgina works with several large private corporations to assess and establish their internal radio communications needs and to ensure their compliance with FCC regulations as they apply to private radio licensees. She also assists businesses with the impact of the TCPA on their telemarketing campaigns and with frequency coordination disputes and other issues arising from frequency interference matters.
Georgina counsels states, municipalities and counties as they revise their zoning ordinances to incorporate small cell and DAS systems to comply with new FCC requirements, while maintaining the integrity of the community. She advises public safety entities with licensing matters and FirstNet issues. When not addressing telecommunications matters, Georgina also assists several radio broadcasters with their FCC regulatory compliance matters – particularly as the FCC is revising many old broadcasting rules.
Prior to working with Shulman Rogers, Georgina clerked at the U.S. Department of Justice and for the U.S. House Telecommunications and Finance Subcommittee. In the private sector, she worked for a Washington, DC Communications Law Firm and in her own practice.
